Joint-stock company (JSC) “MINSK RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF RADIOMATERIALS” is a scientific-research, technological establishment. The Institute was founded in September, 1982 to develop and organize the production of electronic components of microwave technology based on advanced semiconductors A3B5 compounds.
During 83-89 the construction of the administrative and lab buildings was carried out . The Institute was fit out with all necessary modern scientific research and technological equipment. Candidates with required qualifications were hired as staff members, also Scientific research and construction works within the specialization of the institute were launched.
Today, the Institute specializes in the following:
· - development and manufacturing of hardware components and functional units of microwave technology(solid-state microwave monolithic integrated circuits - low noise amplifiers and power amplifiers, protection devices, switches, attenuators, frequency converters, microwave modules, etc.);
· - development and manufacturing of electronical component and elements based on them (photodetectors, light emitting diodes, semiconductor lasers, receiving and transmitting optical modules);
· - development and manufacturing for semiconductor industry- GaAs substrates of the standard «epi-ready»;
· - development and manufacturing of sensor equipment, elements and systems (tilt sensor, pressure, acceleration, electronic compass, etc.);
· - development and manufacturing of medical equipment.
Research and production base is a special technological and scientific-research equipment intended for developing and passing of the full process of manufacturing operations of microwave, optoelectronic components, sensors of physical quantities on the basis of MEMS, equipment for the manufacture of medical products.
Particularly, the equipment allows to carry out operations of cutting semiconductor ingots A3B5 compounds (GaAs, GaN, InP etc.), grinding and polishing of wafers, epitaxial growth, the operation of thermal diffusion and implantation of dopants, packaged chips operations, control their parameters etc.
The Institute has a licensed software for electrodynamics’ calculations, its own standard elements library, a testing technique of microwave components C, S, L, X, K wavelength ranges, equipment electron lithography with a resolution of 100 nm.
Within the specialization the development of technologies, components and devices based on it for a variety of electronic systems within of specialization: radar systems, fiber-optic communication lines, laser rangefinders, object leveling and positioning systems, control, guidance and navigation systems etc. is carried out.
