OJSC “MINSK RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF RADIOMATERIALS”
Foundry services for the creation of microwave microcontrollers
The company provides a full range of foundry services for the creation (implementation of R&D), manufacture of experimental and prototype models, and production of a wide range of microwave integrated circuits for the L-, S-, X-, and K-bands using A3B5 materials according to customer requirements (frequency range, gain, noise, output power, etc.).
The following technologies have been mastered:
- 200 nm pHEMT (example: low noise amplifier);
- 200 nm DrHEMT (power amplifier 9-10 GHz and power amplifier 30-36 GHz);
- Schottky diodes (frequency converter module 6-18 GHz and 14-22 GHz, protective device 2.5-12 GHz);
- pin diodes (2-4 GHz protective device module);
- GaAs heterojunction bipolar transistors.
The technologies include a full set of operations required for the manufacture of microwave devices, which enable passivation of the microwave oven and wafer thinning, forming:
- active elements (transistors, diodes) using electron beam lithography;
- galvanic inductors with "air" bridges;
- MDM capacitors;
- thin-film resistors;
- through holes.
For devices Technologies developed and used in ceramics include:
- forming microstrip lines grown by galvanic methods;
- thin-film resistors;
- metallized through-holes, both blind, metal-filled, and open.
The institute's database of circuit design solutions for various devices and its library of standard components allow for project completion in 4 months or less.
Development times for filters on standard substrates range from 1 to 2 months.
The necessary measurements are conducted on manufactured samples at the Company's own test bench. Filter microcircuit testing is carried out at a probe station.
In addition to placing foundry orders, customers can take advantage of the Company's production facilities as a separate service:
- manufacturing photomasks for photolithography;
- manufacturing A3B5 wafers;
- laser cutting of ceramic materials;
- manufacturing circuit boards on ceramic and polymer wafers;
- crystal microassemblies.
After completing testing of the delivered prototypes, an order for the production of an agreed-upon batch of microwave devices can be placed.
